General: One of Carolina's top returning letter winners from the Class of 2014...he is a multi-faceted freestyler who excels at every distance from the sprints through the mile...also a talented butterflier.
2010-11 (Freshman): Score in 500 free, 200 free and 200 fly at 2011 ACC Championships...was ninth in the 500 free in 4:24.29, 14th in the 200 free in 1:38.31 and 15th in the 200 fly in 1:49.56...winner of 200 fly in dual meet against NC State.
Prep & Club: Graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in Sarasota, Fla. on May 28, 2010...primarily swam the 200 and 500 frees and on relays in high school...was coached there by Alice Jones Smithers...competed in club swimming from 2001 to 2010, swimming six different distances of freestyle and both butterfly events...swam for coach Steve Brown at the Sarasota YMCA Sharks...was captain of Cardinal Mooney team in 2009...won state high school titles in the 200 free and 500 free in both 2008 & 2009...All-State selection both years...a nine-time NISCA All-America in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free (three times) and 500 free (four times)...Sarasota area high school swimmer of the year in '08 and '09...led high school team to Florida district title in 2009...in club swimming he was national YMCA champion in 500-yard free in 2009...swam on 800-yard free relay team which won national YMCA titles in both 2008 and 2009...relay team set national record in the relay in '09...2008 USS Southern Zone All-Star...in '08 set USS Southern Zone record in 200-meter and 400-meter freestyles...USS National Select Camp selection in 2009 and Zone Select Camp selection in 2008 in the 200 free...was named Florida Swimming Age Group Swimmer of the Year in 2008 and 2009...his club team won multiple team championships, taking YMCA short course overall national title four straight years from 2007-10...Sarasota Sharks also won short course boys national title three years from '07-'09...the club was also the Florida senior champions those three years as well.
Personal: Patrick Luis Alberto Ceddia is the son of Louis and Mary Ceddia...was born September 29, 1991 in Asuncion, Paraguay...stands 5-9 tall...his parents currently live in Jamesport, N.Y. ...majors in history...voted high school's most outstanding senior in 2010...two-year member of Na-tional Honor Society...finished high school with 4.39 GPA...is a classically trainer pianist and has studied blues, rock and jazz on the guitar...his guitars are his most prized possessions and he has named each and every one of them...a huge fan of music from the 60s, 70s and 90s...a creative person who enjoys reading and writing in his free time...has a first cousin who played NCAA Division I lacrosse.

Section #1: Swimming & Diving
1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel swimmer is being part of the loving family I call my teammates.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach DeSelm is making him proud by performing well athletically and academically.
3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is improving my flexibility.
4. My best friend on another college swimming team is Nicholas Caldwell at the University of Florida.
5. My greatest strength as a swimmer is my competitive spirit.
Section #2: Hobbies & Interests
1. Away from the pool and academics I like to spend time playing guitar, watching movies, playing video games and chilling with friends.
2. The best movie I've seen recently is Pulp Fiction.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be golf.
4. The music act I'd most like to see in person is Led Zeppelin.
5. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is I've discovered an interest in jazz guitar.
Section #3: Food & Beverage
1. After a big meet, I'd like to eat at a buffet spread that included pepperoni pizza, hush puppies and sweet tea.
2. My favorite beverage is Dr. Pepper.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is my mom's spaghetti and meatballs.
4. My favorite place to eat in Chapel Hill is Joe's Joint.
5. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise is Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

1. If I possessed the gift of time travel I would go to the Battle of Gettysburg.
2. My most prized personal possession is my Gibson Les Paul.
