2014-15: Competed in shot put during the indoor season • His best finish came at the Kent Taylor invite where he finished second with a season best throw • Competed in shot put, discus and hammer during the outdoor season • His top mark of the season in the discus came at the Duke Invitational • He threw for a personal best in the hammer at the Duke Twilight.

2013-14: Did not compete during the indoor season • Competed in the discus throw and shot put during the outdoor season • Had his best performance of the season at the Joe Hilton Invitational where he set his season-best marks and took fourth in the discus and fifth in the shot put.

Prep: Was a four-time state champion in the 2012 indoor shot put, 2012 outdoor shot put, 2012 outdoor discus, and 2013 indoor shot put • Holds the all-time high school indoor state record for the shot put with his personal best 61-10 (18.85 meters) • Named the Track Athlete of the Year by The News & Observer • Named the Conference Field Athlete of the Year in 2012 by the PAC-6 • Member of two-time PAC-6 conference championship teams • Member of 4A Mideast Regional Championship team.

Personal: Jon Ward Beyle is the son of Jon and Elizabeth Beyle • Born December 20 • His father played basketball at UNC Wilmington • Plays the guitar, is a gifted singer, and was a member of his high school's men's choral ensemble and a cappella group.
