Megan Morgan enters her first year as an assistant coach for the Tar Heels. Her duties include assisting Head Coach Sally Austin in the day-to-day operations of the women's golf program in addition to her on-course duties as coach and teacher. Morgan joins the women's golf program after playing on the Futures Tour in 1999 and trading equity options on the Chicago Board Options Exchange the last couple of years.

A 1998 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Morgan was a member of the women's golf team (1995-98). She was an All-ACC performer and honorable mention All-America in 1997-98. Morgan helped lead Carolina to an eighth-place NCAA finish in 1994-95 and a 15th-place finish in 1997-98. During her senior season, she posted five top-10 and nine top-25 finishes. She was named to the Mid Atlantic East All-District team in 1998. She was the runner-up at the `98 Betsy Rawls Longhorn Classic and was the 1997 Illinois State Amateur champion. Morgan was selected to the ACC's 50th anniversary women's golf team in 2003. She also excelled in the classroom as she was named to the 1997 and 1998 ACC Honor Roll.

"We are very excited to have Megan back in Chapel Hill as a part of our women's golf program," says Austin. "Megan was a terrific player and will have so much knowledge and experience to add to the program."

Morgan, from St. Charles, Ill., and a four-year golf standout at St. Charles High School, graduated from Carolina with a degree in business administration.
