Will serve as a second-year undergraduate student assistant coach for the gymnastics team during the 2018 season.

Did not compete due to a season-ending injury prior to joining the team in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Prep:
Graduated among the top students in her class from Robert B. Glenn High School in June 2015 • Received her gymnastics training at one of North Carolina’s top gymnastics clubs, High Point Gymnastics Academy where she trained under the direction of coaches Buddy Thorburn and Rob Travers • Placed fifth in the all-around at the 2014 USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic Level 10 National Championships • Captured fourth place and second place, respectively, on floor exercise at the Junior Olympic National Championships during the 2013 and 2012 competition seasons • Holds a personal best of 38.150 in the all-around.

Daughter of Misty and Brad Austin • Born Hannah McKenzie Austin in Winston-Salem, N.C., in 1997 • Graduated as the salutatorian from Robert B. Glenn High School • Served as the senior dean for student council • Participated in Beta Club, Key Club and Crosby Scholars • Member of the National Honor Society • Uncle was on the NC State wrestling team • Sung in her high school's choir • Used to play violin.
