Taylor Chumney Scotton joined the Tar Heel staff as a volunteer assistant in the summer of 2014. Her duties include scouting, player instruction, team travel, social media and other administrative tasks as assigned by head coach Jenny Levy.
Scotton was a team captain and four-year starting defender with the Tar Heels from 2008-11 who helped lead Carolina to the NCAA championship game in 2009 and the national semifinal in 2010. She set a UNC record by starting 80 career contests (a mark since eclipsed).
