Three-time conference champion, Ashley Myles joins the North Carolina Rowing staff as volunteer assistant coach for the fall 2020 semester.

A Level II USRowing certified coach, Myles comes to Carolina from Washington College where she served as assistant rowing coach for her alma mater. Myles oversaw recruiting, the fall novice program and assisted in coaching technique and physical development of Shorewomen rowers. Myles coordinated team travel and served as a mentor for the 2019 Snell-Shillingford Symposium for women in leadership.

Prior to Washington College, Myles spent three years at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Penn. as the Diplomats’ assistant rowing coach. She was responsible for developing team culture and a supplemental training program for mental toughness. During the same time period, Myles was the rowing technician and event coordinator for Shimano American Corporation in Irvine, Calif.

While a student-athlete at Washington College in Chestertown, Md., Myles was a four-year member of the Shorewomen's first varsity eight while a student at Washington College, winning three Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Championships and rowing at three NCAA Division III Championships. Myles earned a degree in Business Management from Washington College in May 2015.
