Prep/Personal: Cristian Alvarez is the son of Vincent and Laura Alvarez • Has two siblings • Wrestled for four seasons under coach Tom Farinaro at St. Joseph Regional • Posted a 72-3 record in high school, winning an individual state championship as a senior and two team state titles • A three-sport athlete during prep career, also competed in football and track • Helped St. Joseph Regional win the 2025 New Jersey Non-Public A state championship last fall • Plans to also play football at Carolina on the Tar Heel offensive line
