2008-09: Part-time starter at 174 and 184 pounds • Posted an 8-10 record, including a 3-6 dual record • Notched two pins and one major decision • Went 3-2 at 174 at the Wolfpack Open • Wrestled at 184 at the Sprawl & Brawl and logged a 1-2 mark.
2007-08: Went 8-9 at 174 pounds in his first season as a Tar Heel • Went 0-2 in duals and added two pins and one major decision • Placed sixth at the Michigan State Open with a 5-3 record, which included a pair of wins via fall • Also wrestled at the ACC/Big Ten Clash, the Cliff Keen Invitational and the Southern Scuffle.

Prep: Montana state champion at Polson High School • Also posted three other top-three finishes at the state championships • Posted a 150-10 prep record • Four-time Rocky Mountain Classic champion • Also earned all-state honors in football and placed twice at the state championships in the pole vault.
