2008-09: Redshirt season • Went 7-7 wrestling unattached at 149 pounds • Recorded two pins and one major decision • Was 4-3 at the Missouri Open to place sixth in the freshman/sophomore division • Also saw action at the Wolfpack Open and Hokie Open.
