Alex Marrs joined the Carolina Football staff as an offensive quality control assistant in 2017 and moved into the position of Director of High School Relations in January of 2022. In this role, Marrs provides outreach to all high school coaches by establishing, maintaining and improving relationships between them and the football staff. He fosters strong relationships with those coaches to enhance the recruiting efforts of the program. In addition, Marrs oversees all high school communications, serve as the practice guest liaison, and assists with recruiting events and visits.

A former Tar Heel letterman who volunteered with the football program following graduation, Marrs came to Chapel Hill in 2010 as a walk-on, saw time at deep snapper during the 2013 season and started at deep snapper during 2014. Marrs has a bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science.
