Faber joined the North Carolina football staff in 2025 and currently serves as Associate Athletics Director for Football Communications.
Prior to arriving in Chapel Hill, Faber spent nearly eight years with the Chicago Bears, serving as Vice President of Communications from 2016-24. In that role, he oversaw the organization’s football communications efforts and worked closely with coaches, players, executives, and local and national media.
Before joining the Bears, Faber spent eight years with the Chicago Blackhawks. He joined the organization in 2008 as Director of Media Relations before being promoted to Senior Director of Communications and Community Relations in 2012. During his tenure, the Blackhawks won three Stanley Cup championships in 2010, 2013, and 2015.
Faber began his professional career with the Chicago Bulls, spending six years in the organization’s Public and Media Relations Department from 2002-08. Before joining the Bulls, he served as a Communications Intern with USA Basketball and gained collegiate communications experience as a student assistant in Indiana University’s Athletic Communications office.
A native of DeKalb, Illinois, Faber graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications.
