Mike Perkins serves as Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations. In that role, he oversees the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Business Office. He also serves as the secondary sport supervisor for the Carolina softball program.

Perkins, a native of Chapel Hill, came to UNC in 1997, working in accounting for Facilities and the Dental Foundation before joining the Athletic Department in 1998.

A 1997 graduate of UNC Pembroke, where he played baseball for the Braves, Perkins earned a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in accounting. After college he worked as a tax accountant and did consulting work for a CPA before starting at the University.
