Three-time All-American Olivia Vergano joined the Carolina coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach in 2025, following a stellar collegiate career at UNC and Virginia Tech. Vergano capped her four-year career by helping the Tar Heels to an undefeated season and a National Championship in the spring of '25.
A native of West Babylon, N.Y., Vergano started her collegiate career at Virginia Tech, where she earned two honorable mention All-America honors, an All-ACC recognition and an ACC All-Freshman nod. She transferred to Chapel Hill for her senior season and was a key cog in the nation's top offense en route to the ACC and national titles. Vergano, who claimed honorable mention All-America recognition as a senior, finished her career with 168 goals and 43 assists for 211 points. She also posted 276 draw controls, 52 groundballs and 20 caused turnovers.
