- Director of Football Social Media & Creative
Robert Trombley was hired as the Director of Football Creative Services in March 2025.
Prior to North Carolina, Trombley was the Football Creative Director at four previous programs: Mizzou, UConn, LSU, and Miami (OH). In 2023, Mizzou had the second-largest social media growth in the nation with a 498% increase in engagements compared to 2022 season. The Tigers finished 11-2 with a Cotton Bowl victory over Ohio State. In 2022, UConn had the largest social media growth of any FBS football program with a 305% increase in interactions in 2022 compared to 2021.
During the 2021 season, Trombley worked as the Director of Recruiting Creative for LSU Football, where he led creative efforts in on-campus recruiting and digital marketing towards potential student-athletes. He spent the 2019 and 2020 seasons at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, serving as the director of football video and design for the RedHawks. When hired, Trombley became the youngest video coordinator in FBS Football. He also served as the team’s creative director, responsible for all social media and recruiting content. The Miami RedHawks won the 2019 Mid-American Conference Championship during Trombley's tenure.
Trombley graduated from Bowling Green in May 2019 with a degree in visual communication technology. He is a native of Twinsburg, Ohio, and graduated from Twinsburg High School in 2015.
