GREENSBORO, N.C. – North Carolina's Malin Evert has been named ACC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season.

Evert, a junior midfielder, scored a career-high four goals on Sunday as the Tar Heels won 6-4 at Liberty. The single-game total was a season-high for a Tar Heel and nearly doubled Evert's season total for goals – she came into the game with five in UNC's previous 16 games.

Evert is one of just eight players nationally to score at least four goals in a single game this year.

Evert is the first Tar Heel to earn the offensive honor this season. UNC has claimed the defensive honor on three occasions, twice by junior Ashley Hoffman and once by redshirt freshman goalkeeper Amanda Hendry.

Next up for UNC (13-4) is the ACC Championship, which starts Thursday in Louisville, Ky. The fifth-seeded Tar Heels meet fourth-seeded Wake Forest at 11 a.m.
