Evert, Van't Hoog Named To All-Tournament Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina juniors Malin Evert and Eva van't Hoog have been named to the NCAA Field Hockey All-Tournament Team for their play during the postseason.
Both are midfielders and also earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference and All-ACC Tournament honors. Evert is from Bad Schwartau, Germany, and van't Hoog is from Den Haag, the Netherlands.
The Tar Heels finished the 2017 season with a record of 18-5, reaching the final four for the ninth year in a row and the 22nd time in program history. UNC fell 2-1 to top-ranked Connecticut in a penalty shootout in the NCAA semifinals in Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 17. The Huskies went on to complete an undefeated season with a win over Maryland in Sunday's national championship game.
