Briggs, Ginolfi, Hoffman, Moyer, Shealy and Young to represent U.S.
Six Tar Heels will represent the U.S. in the upcoming Pan American Cup, set for Aug. 4-13 in Lancaster, Pa. Named to the 18-player roster, announced on Friday, were Jackie Briggs, Katelyn Ginolfi, Ashley Hoffman, Lauren Moyer, Loren Shealy and Julia Young. Â Hoffman is a rising junior for the Tar Heels and the others are UNC alums.
Â
The squad remained nearly unchanged from the one that won the title at the FIH World League Semifinals earlier this month. The one change involved a Tar Heel: Caitlin Van Sickle suffered an injury during the competition in South Africa and thus was not included on the Pan Am roster.
