Catching Up With Ronnie Schneider

The Tar Heel recently won his first professional title.
After graduating from UNC in May with a degree in business administration, Ronnie Schneider launched his professional tennis career and is off to a quick start. He recently earned his first pro title, teaming with with Canada's Filip Peliwo to win the doubles crown at the Kelowna Futures event in Kelowna, British Columbia.
The two beat Antigua's Jody Maginley and Britain's Mark Whitehouse 7-5, 6-4 in the final on June 30.

Schneider was honored as the 2017 ITA Senior Player of the Year. A four-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection, he led UNC to a record season as a senior, winning a program-high 29 matches and reaching the NCAA Championship match for the first time ever. He was named to the 2017 All-ACC Academic team and is recipient of a 2016-17 ACC Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Award.
