Heels Hold First Fall Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, NC -- Â The North Carolina Tar Heels held their first scrimmage of the Fall on Sunday afternoon on a perfect day for baseball at Boshamer Stadium. The Blue squad took an early 4-0 lead and held on for an 8-4 win in the eight-inning scrimmage. There were a total of 19 hits and four errors.
Dylan Enwiller was 3-4 with two RBI and one run scored, while Dallas Tessar was 3-5 with one run scored. Zack Gahagan was 2-3 with three RBI and one run scored. Satchel Jerzembeck was 2-4 with one RBI while Jake Holtzapple was 2-3.
Joey Lancellotti and Ashton McGee each homered, while Brandon Martorano and Zack Gahagan each doubled.
Six pitchers saw action on the mound: Bo Weiss, Caden O'Brien, Cole Aker, Cooper Criswell, Jake Randolph and Kyle Blendinger.
Carolina's next closed scrimmage will be on Labor Day. GoHeels will have exclusive coverage of all of Carolina's Fall scrimmages.
