No. 5 UNC Hosts Old Dominion Sunday

Following back-to-back overtime road wins last weekend, UNC returns to Durham to host Old Dominion on Sunday, Oct. 1, at Duke's Williams Field at Jack Katz Stadium. The Tar Heels and Monarchs continue their long-time rivalry with a 1 p.m. non-conference game.
The fifth-ranked Tar Heels head into the weekend 9-2 overall while unranked ODU is 4-6.

• Old Dominion, Oct. 1: The Monarchs are 4-6 on the year following a 3-1 loss at Liberty on Friday. Sophomore Erin Huffman leads the team in scoring with seven goal and a team-best 15 points. Sophomore Alexa Ostoich has scored five goals, and senior Danielle Grega has 4. Three players are tied with three assists each.
Last meeting: Aside from a preseason scrimmage game, the Tar Heels and Monarchs last faced off on Oct. 29, 2016, in Norfolk, Va. After a scoreless first half, UNC got second-half goals from Marissa Creatore and Lauren Moyer (then a senior and now a member of the U.S. National Team) to win 2-0. Seven current Tar Heels – Eef Andriessen, Ashley Hoffman, Malin Evert, Morgan Goetz, Eva van't Hoog, Gab Major and Alex Halpin – started in that game.
