Hazar Named ACC Offensive Player Of The Week

GREENSBORO, NC. (theACC.com) – North Carolina senior attacker Ela Hazar has been named this week's Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, while Boston College junior goalie Lauren Daly is this week's ACC Defensive Player of the Week.
Hazar set a UNC program record with eight assists in Carolina's 18-13 win at ninth-ranked Northwestern on Saturday. In the process, she also became Carolina's career assist leader with 98, eclipsing the previous record of 92 set by Becky Lynch from 2009-12. Hazar also had three goals and five assists in Tuesday's 12-1 win over Elon, along with two ground balls. For the week, Hazar tallied 16 points on three goals and 13 assists in two games.
Daly's strong showing at Louisville included a career-high 11 saves, and her second-half effort was integral in holding the Cardinals to only 10 goals for the game. After being down 5-3 at halftime, the junior's five saves in the second half combined with the offense's 16 goals sealed another win for the Eagles.
