No. 12 Tar Heels Back At The Bosh, Host Appalachian State Tuesday

Tickets for the originally scheduled game against VCU on Tuesday, March 6 will be valid for the game against Appalachian State, so it is not necessary to exchange your original ticket.Â
Winners of 12 of its last 15 games, the Tar Heels jumped back in to the national standings this week after winning six of its seven games in the past two weeks. The game against Appalachian State will be hosted on ACC Network Extra and as always can be heard on the radio on GoHeels.com.
APP STATE SERIES HISTORY
• The Tar Heels and Mountaineers have met 28 times over the course of the series, with the Heels holding a commanding 25-3 series lead.
• The teams first met in 1974 in Chapel Hill. Carolina won the game 4-1.
• App State's last win came in 1997, when they won 11-10 in 10 innings in Chapel Hill.
• The last meeting came in 2015 in Chapel Hill, a game that saw the Heels win 9-0.Â
FIRST SERIES WIN IN MIAMI IN A DECADE
• North Carolina took home its first series win at Miami since 2008 after taking the first two games in Coral Gables.
• Both games were won by unlikely heros off the bench. Game one was Josh Ladowski who went 2-3 with a run scored and 2 RBI, all in extra innings. Game two was Cooper Criswell's dominant 13K relief performance.

• UNC has now won 12 of its last 15 games and 14 of its last 18.
• Cooper Criswell struck out a career high 13 of batters against Miami on 4/7. It's the most by a relief pitcher during the Mike Fox era, and most Ks total by any pitcher this year.
• Michael Busch now has 42 RBI on the season. That's the most RBIs by a Tar Heel through 32 games since Colin Moran had 43 in 2013, when Moran set the school single-season RBI record of 91. He is second in the country in RBI.
• Kyle Datres extends his career-best hitting streak to 12 games and is hitting .420 (21-for-51) during that time. He is third in the ACC with a .369 avg and 4th in hits (48).
• During Ike Freemans 6 game hitting streak, he leads the team in batting average (.444), and tied first for runs (7) and hits (8).
• Despite only having 6 at bats last week, Clemente Inclan led the team with 5 RBI.
• Against Miami, the starting Tar Heel pitchers only combined for 10 innings, while the bullpen secured the other 16 innings and picked up all three wins.Â
• UNC continues its first inning domminance on the season, outscoring opponents 30-9 and are 13-2 when they score in the first inning.Â
• In ACC play, UNC ranks second in batting average (.286), slugging % (.433), home runs (14) and hits (154), and leads in OB% (.393), runs (112), RBI (108) and doubles (33).
• In ACC games only, North Carolina's pitching ranks 2nd in ERA (3.69), strikeouts (156), and the third best opponent batting avergae (.233).
• UNC is the only ACC school in the top two in highest batting average and lowest ERA.
• In ACC games only, Brett Daniels leads ERA (1.23), appearances (11) and tied for first in wins (3). He's only allowed 3 runs in 22 IP while striking out 23 batters.
• In ACC games only, Daniels (1.23) and Criswell (1.76) are both in the top four in ERA.
• In ACC games only, Cody Roberts and Zack Gahagan are tied for first in runs sored (18).
