UNC Volleyball Powers By Campbell

Chapel Hill - The North Carolina volleyball team swept (15-2, 15-6, 15-8) the Campbell Camels Tuedsay at Carmichael Auditorium. The win increased the Tar Heels' record to 20-4 overall, 10-1 in the ACC.
Senior Tori Seibert led the way for the Heels as she put away 12 kills with no errors on 18 attempts for a .667 hitting percentage. Seibert also recorded eight blocks during the match as the Tar Heels won their 18th match out of their last 19. Liz Feldman led Carolina in digs with nine and freshman Eve Rackham tallied 31 assists and four blocks.
The Tar Heels lost the first point of game one and then only surrendered one more in route to the 15-2 win. In the game, UNC out-hit Campbell .333 to -.056.
In game two, Carolina opened on a 6-0 run before the Camels came back to pull within 6-5. However, Campbell would score only one more point during a 9-1 UNC run that closed the game 15-6.
In game three, the teams played to a 5-5 tie until the Tar Heels again went on a 9-1 run to make the score 14-6. Campbell pulled two more points out of the match before UNC finished it 15-8.
Kara Lewis led Campbell in kills with six and Abby Jenkins led the Camels in digs with 11.
In the match, the Tar Heels out-hit the Camels .214 to -.009. Carolina will now travel to Winston-Salem, N.C. to take on Wake Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
