Ryan Snare Shuts Down Tech, 5-0

Ryan Snare (6-3) pitched six scoreless innings to lead North Carolina to a 5-0 win over Georgia Tech in a seven-inning game Saturday afternoon at sunny Boshamer Stadium. The two teams will play a second seven-inning game beginning at 5:25 p.m.
Clay Hooper and Ryan Blake each had solo home runs, while Ryan Earey launched a two-run blast. Dan Moylan drove in UNC's other run with an RBI double.
Chuck Crowder (9-5) gave up five runs on nine hits to suffer the loss.
The Heels are now 40-12 overall, 13-9 in the ACC. Tech falls to 35-18, 10-12 in the conference.
