With the Deacons trailing 7-6, Wake scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth. The first run scored when Jason Aquilante reached base on a fielder's choice bringing in Stephen Sullivan to tie the game at 7-7 and set the stage for Conway's game-winning hit.
