
Men's Soccer Tops Georgia State, 7-0

GREENSBORO, N.C. - University of North Carolina freshman Marcus Storey scored three goals to lead the TarHeels past Georgia State, 7-0, in college soccer action from the opening night of the adidas/Spartan Classic at UNCG Soccer Stadium.
With the victory, UNC head coach Elmar Bolowich registered his 150th career victory, becoming the third coach in school history to do so.
The Tar Heels took control of the match from the opening whistle. David Stokes scored on a header at 1:42 of the first-half off a corner kick from Matt Crawford.
David Testo made the score, 2-0, at 21:27 with an unassisted goal. Ryan Kneipper scored in the 34th minute to give the Tar Heels a three-goal lead at intermission.
Storey registered all three goals after halftime for his first career multi-goal game. Mike Gell recorded the seventh goal. Crawford added another assist in the second-half. Noz Yamauchi added a pair of assist as did Kneipper.
Carolina returns to action on Sunday afternoon against No. 18 South Florida in the adidas/Spartan Classic from Greensboro.
