Men's Soccer Players Visit University Lake

The UNC men's soccer team took on a unique team-building mission recently, spending the afternoon on University Lake with the Carolina crew team learning the ins and outs of rowing. It was challenging and entertaining for both groups of UNC student athletes, and the following pictures and diaries help capture some of their experience.
"They took criticism with stride. They helped each other out and were thankful for my coxing. I believe during that time they may have gained a little more respect for rowing. At the same time, I gained more respect for their team. They may not have the rowing skills that we do, but they have respect for each other and those they come in contact with..."
"We were awful, absolutely awful. We were lucky not to tip over, and thank goodness for Fumo, we didn't. Our instructor eventually worked out some of the kinks and we started to move in a slow but forward direction..."
