I was real nervous abut this game because we had a team that had, basically, five days of getting pats on the back and congratulations about being No. 1 in the country.
Our workout yesterday wouldn't as sharp as I would have liked. I was really scared about this game because I know Coach Williams is such a competitor and after the way they played against Georgia Tech, how upset he was, they were going to come back and play extremely hard. I talked to our team that we had to play harder. I don't know if we did in the first half or not.
I thought our execution was pretty good. We got some big games from Cape, Pep and Joe as usual.
We took care of the ball. We had nine turnovers in the first half and only three in the second.
19 out of 20 from the foul line isn't too bad. I was real proud. We've spent a lot of time working on our foul shots in practice. I think, hopefully, it's paying off.
(on Kris Lang not starting): Kris Lang didn't start because he has a tendon in his ankle that is bothering him. He tested it in warm-ups and felt that it would be best that he come off the bench. He did a heck of a job coming off the bench and playing through some pain. He's a tough kid.
Julius (Peppers) obviously stepped up a bit with 7 of 10 (shots) and 18 points.
