Men's Tennis Faces Rival South Carolina Saturday

The North Carolina Men's Tennis team (2-1) returns to action Saturday, February 17 against rival South Carolina (3-0). The Gamecocks are the only team UNC is scheduled to face from the Southeastern Conference this season. Match time is 12 Noon.
The Tar Heels have won four of the last seven meetings between the two teams and lead the overall series 35-15-1. David Cheatwood clinched last year's thrilling 4-3 victory over the 25th ranked Gamecocks with a 5-7, 7-5 6-3 victory at number three singles.
Carolina freshman Nicholas Monroe and sophomore Greg Archer remain undefeated in singles play this spring after three dual matches.
Admission to Saturday's match is free. Matches are held at the Cone-Kenfield Indoor Tennis Center on Highway 54 East behind the Friday Center.
