
Four Former Tar Heels In Inaugural WUSA Game

ATLANTA, GA. - Turner Network Television's (TNT) live coverage of the WUSA (Women's United Soccer Association), featuring the world's greatest female soccer players will kick-off on Saturday, April 14 at 2 p.m. (EDT) in Washington, D.C., as the Bay Area CyberRays, featuring Brandi Chastain, open the league's first season against Mia Hamm and the Washington Freedom.
The match will showcase many former Tar Heel stars along with several popular international World Cup stars. Former UNC players Hamm, Siri Mullinix and Lindsay Stoecker play for the Freedom. Brazilian World Cup favorites Roseli and Pretinha, will join them while Sissi and Katia line up for the CyberRays with former Tar Heel star Tisha Venturini.
Well-known soccer voices and World Cup veterans JP Dellacamera and analyst Wendy Gebauer, herself a former All-America forward at Carolina, will call the games for Turner Network Television (TNT) and CNN/Sports Illustrated's (CNN/SI) WUSA schedule, which includes 22 games from April 14 - Aug. 25. Each network will air 11games, with TNT televising both semifinal games and the WUSA Championship game.
