Carolina Rowing Opens Season Saturday

The UNC women's varsity rowing team will open its 2001-02 season on Saturday, racing against Atlantic Coast Conference rivals Clemson and Duke at Lake Michie in Durham. Racing begins at 8 a.m. with the women's varsity fours and continues through approximately noon.
Men's club teams from the schools also will compete.

8:00 am - Women's Varsity 4+
8:15 am - Women's Varsity 2X
8:30 am - Men's Varsity 4+
8:45 am - Men's Novice Eight
9:45 am - Women's Varsity 8
10:00 am - Men's Varsity 8
10:15 am - Men's Novice 4+
11:00 am - Women's Second Varsity 2-
11:15 am - Women's Single
11:30 am - Women's Second Varsity 4+/ 4X
11:45 am - Women's Varsity 2-
Directions to spectator parking at Lake Michie
* Take 15/501 to 85 North
* Take exit 176B (501 N - Duke St. - Roxboro)
* From the yield sign at the top of the ramp, go 9.3 miles north on
501/Duke St. to the stop light at Bahama Road.
* Take a right on Bahama Road and go 3.1 miles to Wilkins Road. Take a
left on Wilkins Road. There are two parking lots on the left hand side of Wilkins Road.
