Chapel Hill, N.C. -- The University of North Carolina women's golf schedule was recently released by head coach Sally Austin. The Tar Heels open their 2001-02 season Sept. 17-18 at the Mason Rudolph Championships in Franklin, Tenn.

Carolina hosts 13 teams for the Franklin Street Trust/Tar Heel Invitational in Chapel Hill on Oct. 5-7. The 54-hole event will be play at Finley Golf Course, which features a par 72, 6,181-yard layout. Besides Carolina, the participing teams are Duke, Florida State, Georgia, Memphis, Kentucky, NC State, South Florida, Tulane, UNC-Greensboro, UNC-Wilmington, Vanderbilt and Wake Forest.
