Meredith Krull is a senior from Raleigh and a member of the UNC rowing team. Throughout the year, she will provide TarHeelBlue.com readers with an inside look at her team and the experience of being a varsity athlete at North Carolina
We are all so excited to have five athletes back from their study abroad experiences. Even though we are in the early stages of our spring season, these women have made a noticeable difference to our team's speed and morale.
Senior Staci Shaut and juniors Kara Kerscher, Lindsay Pichaske, Lauren Yoder and Mollie Silver have all come back fit, enthusiastic and ready to make Carolina Rowing faster.
Last week, in our "welcome-back test battery," each of these women demonstrated tremendous leadership and dedication by turning in awesome performances on the erg. Additionally, during last Saturday's "Breakfast Workout" these women were seen on the track, running stairs and erging-all while encouraging their teammates.
I think everyone would agree that with the return of these five integral parts of our team, we are ready to have a great spring season.
