Men's Tennis Opens Season Thursday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The 34th-ranked University of North Carolina men's tennis team opens up its 2002 campaign this Thursday with a match against the Davidson College Wildcats at 2:30 p.m. The match will be played at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center. Admission is free.
UNC will also host the 20th-ranked Texas Longhorns on Friday beginning at 5 p.m. at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.
Coach Sam Paul's team returns four starters and welcomes a talented group of newcomers off last year's team which finished 11-9 overall and was second in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Carolina will be seeking its 10th NCAA Tournament bid in the last 11 seasons as it embarks on the season.
