Tar Heels finish strong in Fall Classic

Knoxville, TN -- The North Carolina Women's Tennis Team faired well at the 2002 St. Mary's Women's Fall Tennis Classis in Knoxville, Tennessee. Sophomore Aniela Mojzis won the flight two singles competition, while seniors Kate Pinchbeck and Kendrick Bunn each placed second in their respective flights.
Mojzis, a native of Cape Town, South Africa, defeated Crystal Cleveland of Tennessee in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1 to take first place in flight two.
unn was defeated by Davielle Staddelmann of N.C. State in the final of flight four, despite a good start. Staddelmann won the hard fought battle agianst Bunn 2-6, 6-3, 6-2. #1 Vilmarie Castellvi of Tennessee withstood a strong performance from #8 Kate Pinchbeck in the flight one final. Castellvi defeated Pinchbeck 6-1, 6-2.
