Five From Softball Team Named To ACC Honor Roll

Five North Carolina softball players earned spots on the Atlantic Coast Conference Honor Roll for the 2001-02 school year. To be included, student-athletes must earn a 3.0 grade point average over the fall and spring semesters.
Softball players honored were Ashley Allen, Rosie Gustavson, Quinn Porter, Anna Tharrington and Sarah Young. Gustavson and Young are seniors, Porter and Tharrington are juniors, and Allen is a freshman.
The UNC softball team finished the 2002 season with a record of 34-30 and reached the ACC Championship game for the second season in a row.
