*The first of the truly great players in Carolina's storied women's soccer history. Also the first true superstar in women's college soccer.
*A first-team All-America forward in 1984, 1985 and 1986 as named by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Was also a third-team All-America in 1983.
*The Intercollegiate Soccer Association of America National Player of the Year in both 1984 and 1986.
*Named to the All-Tournament Team at the 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1986 NCAA Tournaments.
*Was the overall Most Valuable Player of the 1984 NCAA Championships and the Most Valuable Offensive Player of the 1985 and 1986 NCAA Championships.
*Member of NCAA championship teams at Carolina in 1983, 1984 and 1986. Was member of NCAA runner-up team in 1985.
*Was the first player in Carolina women's soccer history to have her uniform number retired. She wore #2 during her playing days at Carolina.
*Shares the school record for assists in a game with five against Warren Wilson on October 29, 1983.
*Ranks second in Carolina history in scoring with 225 points.
*Ranks third in Carolina history in goals scored with 87.
*Is tied for fifth in Carolina history in assists with 51.
*Was the Carolina team's leading scorer in four successive years-in 1983 with 47 points, in 1984 with 59 points, in 1985 with 50 points and in 1986 with 69 points.
*Was a member of U.S. Women's National Team from 1986-91. Made 47 caps with the National Team and scored 37 goals.
*Assistant coach for the 1996 U.S. Olympic Team which won the gold medal in Athens, Ga.
*Recognized as the Player of the Decade in the 1980s by Soccer America.
*Currently is head coach of the U.S. Women's National Team.
*Was the head women's soccer coach at Princeton University in 1990, compiling an 8-6-1 mark.
*Was the head women's soccer coach at the University of Maryland for five years from 1991-95, compiling a mark of 56-40-7. She was named the 1995 ACC Coach of the Year at Maryland and that year led the Terrapins to their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance.
*Served for four years as the head women's soccer coach at the University of Virginia. Had a 52-27-7 record in four years there with four NCAA Tournament appearances.
*Was captain of the 1991 U.S. Women's National Team which won the gold medal at the first ever Women's World Cup in China.
*A 1986 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
