Carolina and Radford Set For Non-Conference Battle

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Senior centerfielder Tiffany Tolleson (Winter Haven, Fla.) was named to the NFCA Leadoff Classic All-Tournament team announced this afternoon. Tolleson helped the Tar Heels to a 1-2 record and an 18th place finish out of 24 teams. UNC lost to No. 3 Nebraska, 4-1, and No. 12 Stanford, 6-0, before defeating Southern Mississippi 1-0.

Tolleson led Carolina with a .500 batting average in the tournament, finsihing 5-for-10, with a double. Tolleson achieved the honor against most of the best team's in the country, including 17 ranked teams that participated in the prestigous event. She leads Carolina this season with a .524 batting average and 11 stolen bases.

North Carolina will travel to Austin, Texas for the Texas Invitational Feb. 28-March 2. UNC will face Florida at 3 p.m. and No. 5 Texas at 7 p.m. on Friday. Saturday's matchup will be against No. 19 Michigan at Noon CST.
