Sean Farrell is one of only three seniors returning for the 2003 baseball season. Farrell put together a great season in 2002, finishing with a .354 batting average, 14 home runs and 73 runs batted in. He recently sat down and got personal for an interview with TarHeelBlue.com. Here is some of what he had to say:
TarHeelBlue.com: If you could only beat one team in the ACC this year, who would it be?
Sean Farrell: "Wake Forest. You didn't even have to finish that question. Wake Forest hands down. I think we've only beat them once in the last three years."
THB: What is your most memorable sports moment?
Farrell: "Winning the state championship in football my sophomore year in high school."
THB: Who is the funniest guy on the team?
Farrell: "I'd have to say Bo Dickerson or Michael Gross. Those guys kill me."
THB: What is your ideal way to spend a Friday or Saturday night?
Farrell: "Probably curling up at home on the couch with my girlfriend and a good movie."
THB: Who on the team has the most style?
Farrell: "If you're looking for Abercrombie style, I'd have to say Bryan Phillips. But Mark Fisher dresses the most like a runway model."
THB: What is your favorite spot on the Carolina campus?
Farrell: "I like to just sit back and watch people, so the wall in front of the Undergraduate library is a good place for that."
THB: What is your favorite place to vacation?
Farrell: "Fort Lauderdale, Florida."
THB: Name a few CD's that you've been listening to lately.
Farrell: "Some different Dave Matthews Band albums and a mixed CD with mostly top 20 country music."
THB: What are the best and worst parts about game days?
Farrell: "The worst part is definitely the amount of time we have to spend at the field. We're there for up to seven hours some days. The best part is the anticipation and excited feeling you get right before the game starts."
THB: Do you have a favorite reality TV show right now?
Farrell: "I like Celebrity Mole and I find Joe Millionaire pretty entertaining."
