Four Tar Heels Named To All-ACC Teams

Salem, Va.- North Carolina had four players receive All-ACC honors during the ACC's baseball banquet at the Salem Civic Center on Monday evening. Jeremy Cleveland is in the process of a record-breaking season and was the only Tar Heel named first team All-ACC. Cleveland's .431 batting average leads the ACC and he leads UNC in most offensive categories including home runs (18) and RBIs (59).
Seniors Sean Farrell, Ryan Blake, and Chad Prosser were named second team All-ACC. Farrell made the team as an outfielder while Blake and Prosser both received at-large nominations. Farrell is batting .330 with 12 home runs and 52 RBIs and ranks high on many of Carolina's career offensive records lists. Blake is a fifth-year senior who ranks third on the team with a .332 batting average. Prosser has started all 56 games for UNC this season and ranks second all-time at Carolina with 281 hits.
The Tar Heels will face the Clemson Tigers at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Salem Memorial Park in the ACC Tournament.
