North Carolina Volleyball Falls To Northwestern

Evanston, Ill - The North Carolina Volleyball team lost a tough road game to Northwestern 3-0. The Tar Heels came close in all three games, but lost 30-24, 31-29, 30-28. Sophomore outside hitter Dani Nyenhuis led the Tar Heels with 15 kills.
Senior middle hitter Aletha Green had ten kills with a .714 hitting percentage and added three block assists. Junior outside hitter Molly Pyles had seven kills and three block assists and junior setter Norma Cortez led UNC in assists with 20.
The Tar Heels' weekend doesn't get any easier as they will face Florida at noon tomorrow. The Gators are ranked third in the nation and their only loss of the year came to No. 1 USC. UNC will also face Chicago State on Saturday at 5 p.m. (eastern time).
