Storey Named Carolina Waterscapes Student-Athlete of the Week

Storey led Carolina to a pair of wins over top-10 opponents at the Wake
Forest adidas Classic. He scored a goal and assisted on the game-winner in
overtime against No. 5 St. John's and added two scores versus No. 10
Connecticut. On the weekend, he had seven points (three goals, one assist)
and earned all-tournament honors in the event. Storey was also named the ACC Player of the Week for his efforts.

Pyles was named the GlaxoSmithKline UNC Volleyball Classic MVP after
totaling 38 kills and 20 digs over three games. Pyles lead the Tar
Heels to a sweep of the tournament as they defeated Oregon, James
Madison and Temple, all by the count of 3-0.
Lori Chalupny, Women's Soccer

St. Louis, Mo.
Chalupny scored both goals, including the game-winner in the second minute of overtime, to lead UNC to the championship game victory in the Arena Sports Pac 10/ACC Challenge in Seattle.
Kerry Falgowski, Field Hockey

In two wins over the weekend at the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, Kerry Falgowski scored a total of three goals. In the season opener against Michigan on Sunday, she had one goal as UNC won 4-0. In the Tar Heels' 3-1 win over Iowa on Monday, Falgowski scored twice as UNC boosted its record to 2-0 with a sweep of its Big Ten opponents.
