North Carolina Finishes 13th At Mason Rudolph Championship

FRANKLIN, Tenn. - The University of North Carolina finished the third and final round of the Mason Rudolph Championship in 13th place after shooting a team total 922. Tar Heel golfer Katie Miller shot a two-over-par 74 on Sunday to finish with a 222 total and a tie for 17th place to lead all Tar Heels. Meaghan Francella after a first round second place finish dropped to a tie for 33rd place after 54 holes.
Teammates Romi Irons, Ashley Prange and Shannon Boyle each shot 81 on Sunday leaving them tied for 61st, 71st, and 78th, respectively.
Georgia overcame UCLA's second round team lead to win the championship by four shots.Vanderbilt University followed at 886 . Florida was four strokes behind in fourth place at 889 while the University of Arizona rounded out the top five in team scoring with a 891 total.
In individual scoring, Arizona's Erica Blasberg was the champion with a three-under-par total of 213, one shot better than Furman's Sarah Johnston and two shots better than Vanderbilt senior Sarah Jacobs.*Rounding out the top five in individual scoring was Aimee Cho of Florida and Allison Martin of Georgia who tied with a 54-hole total of 216.
The Tar Heels will next see action on the weekend of October 3-5 when they will host the Franklin Street Partners Invitational at Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill, N.C.
