Luchici Advances To Singles Quarterfinals

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Carolina's Raian Luchici advanced to the singles quarterfinals at the Wilson/ITA Mideast Region Championships presented by Top of the Hill. Luchici will face Virginia's Rylan Rizza at 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
Geoff Boyd and Brad Pomeroy, ranked 32nd in the nation, advanced to the doubles quarterfinals with a 8-5 win over Virginia's Somdev DevVarman and Marko Milko. The sixth seeded Tar Heel tandem will face either Wake Forest's Brett Ross/Derrick Spice or Duke's Stephen Amritraj and Peter Rodrigues at 1 p.m. Sunday.
The singles finalists and the doubles champion will advance to the ITA National Indoors Nov. 5-9 at the University of Michigan.
