CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The men's soccer match between North Carolina and UNC Wilmington, originally scheduled for Friday, has been moved to Wednesday due to potential heavy rains this weekend. The match will begin at 7 p.m. at Fetzer Field.
The Tar Heels (1-2-1) will look to snap a two-match losing streak against the Seahawks (5-0-0). UNC dropped matches to FIU and VCU at last weekend's Carolina Nike Classic, while UNCW defeated Illinois-Chicago and Sacred Heart at its adidas Home Stay Inn Classic.
Carolina is 7-2-1 all-time against the Seahawks and has won six straight in the series. The Tar Heels are led by freshman midfielder Dax McCarty, who has six points on the year, and forwards Jamie Watson and Marcus Storey, who have five points each.
UNCW is paced by Sam Ledger, who has four goals and an assist, and Russell Bienias and Keith Shevlin, who have three goals each.
