Tar Heels to Play for All-American Doubles Championship

COLUMBUS, OHIO - North Carolina's Raian Luchici and Brad Pomeroy will begin play Thursday in the 2005 Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Intercollegiate Indoor Tennis Championships. Luchici is playing in the singles draw while the two players are playing as a team in the doubles competition.

Luchici, ranked No. 27 nationally, will meet 23rd-ranked Alex Slovic of the University of Washington in the singles bracket of 32. Brad Pomeroy and Raian Luchici will play in doubles against Jon Reckewey and Matija Zgaga of Baylor. Luchici and Pomeroy are seeded No. 3 and currently ranked No. 51 by the ITA.
