RALEIGH, N.C. - North Carolina outfielder Seth Williams - a member of the Asheboro Copperheaders - was named Coastal Plain League Co-Hitter of the Week. In week four of summer play, Williams started all four games and finished with a .571 average on eight hits.
Williams racked up three doubles and a home run to go with four RBI and six runs scored. The Asheboro outfielder also tallied 14 total bases with a .667 on-base percentage to go with a perfect 1.000 slugging percentage.
Through games of July 9, Williams is batting .349 with two homers, six doubles and 12 RBI. Tar Heel teammate Matt Spencer also has two home runs and 12 RBI to share Williams' team leads.
