CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - With the 2005 Major League Soccer season nearing its midseason all-star game, TarHeelBlue.com takes a look at the 13 former Tar Heels active in the league. Several veterans are regular starters for their respective teams, while rookies Jamie Watson, Marcus Storey and Tim Merritt are making in impact in the new Reserve Division.

Matt Crawford, Defender, Colorado Rapids

Chris Leitch, Defender, NY/NJ MetroStars

Tim Merritt, Defender, D.C. United
