On the game being preparation for a tough week ahead:
"We don't look past any of our opponents so our concern coming into this game was basically Maryland. I mean you look at some of the results around the conference, we just heard that Miami beat Virginia, so you can't come into any conference game and presume just because you are a higher seed that you're going to win. Another good example, the two games we just played; very tough game for us down in Clemson and this was a very tough game for us today and we're just excited that our young kids are going to bring their hard hats to work everyday and we ground out two good victories. Obviously, we're going to be to look at the Virginia and Duke games the same way. Every single conference week, you've got two teams that know you well, with coaches that understand your system and every team and every coach represent all kinds of problems for us. So we know we are going to have a set of problems on Thursday against Virginia and a set of problems against Duke on Sunday. That's obviously part of what makes this so enjoyable and part of what helps our players develop and one of the reasons I love coaching in the ACC, there are tremendous teams and quality institutions with excellent coaches. Which just makes all of this much more fun for us."
On Heather O'Reilly's recent scoring streak:
"What she has done, and she jokes about it but it's actually quite true, she's got this bending-ball shot down now that she finished in the game today which is a very nice finish and it is something she consciously works at. And then she also had a nice assist today to Sterling and we're just excited that she continues to play so well for us. She makes a huge difference on the field."
On what the win means today for the team, with a tough week coming up:
"I think something that the coaches had emphasized for us is to respect every team we play against. And the ACC the competition is so strong that anything can happen on any day especially when teams have the motivation to beat us and all these teams do. I think a 3-0 win against Maryland is really good for us and it's just one game at a time. I don't think we looked past this team and all and that's why we kind of took care of business today. We going up to Virginia this week and that's just going to be another game that we take one game at a time."
On being at the point where the team can dominate their opposition:
"Yea, I think that today we saw glimpses of that. I still think that we're working for. It's not necessarily more goals, it is just kind of draining every ounce of motivation and will to win out of our opponents. It's something that we can notice on the field because eventually players aren't just sprinting for balls, aren't going up for headers as much. I wouldn't say necessarily that we fully did that today so we are just going to keep grinding it out and taking one game at a time and hopefully break teams down.
On her recent goal scoring streak:
"I think that it is just keeping my composure, not getting to frustrated with myself and repetitions at practice. There is no miracle to finishing, it's practice. It comes with time, I guess."
