No. 10 Tar Heels Meet Top-Ranked Wake Forest In ACC Quarterfinal Wednesday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - No. 10 North Carolina (11-5-2) hopes to build on a regular season-ending win at Boston College in an Atlantic Coast Conference quarterfinal meeting with top-ranked Wake Forest (15-2-1) at noon Wednesday at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, Md. The seventh-seeded Tar Heels lost to the second-seeded Demon Deacons, 1-0, on Oct. 13 in Chapel Hill. Carolina advanced to the finals of last year's ACC Tournament and is playing Wake Forest in the conference tourney for the first time since 2000.
The Tar Heels already own one victory over the nation's No. 1 team this season, a 2-1 win over Virginia on Sept. 22.
